Teilnehmerinnen des „Internationalen Keramiksymposiums Neumünster 2010“ ausgewählt

Die Entscheidung ist gefallen. Vom 30. August bis 19. September 2010 werden Orly Nezer aus Israel, Wilma Bosland aus Holland, Biljana Milenovic Stojanovic  aus Serbien und Birgit Saupe aus Deutschland am Internationalen Keramiksymposium Neumünster 2010 teilnehmen. Die Jury – Prof. Dr. Kerstin Abraham von der Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel, Dr. Ulrich Schneider vom Landesmuseum Schloß Gottorf, Sünne Höhn vom Kulturbüro der Stadt Neumünster und die Stipendiatin der Dr. Hans Hoch Stiftung Danijela Pivasevic-Tenner –  wählte aus 29 Bewerbungen aus 14 Ländern diese vier aus.

Das Symposium im Rahmen des Kulturfestivals Kunstflecken findet erstmalig statt und wird zeitgenössische Keramikkunst in vielen Facetten reflektieren. “Die Stadttöpferei wird sich auch damit weiterentwickeln und öffnen”, freut sich Danijela Pivasevic-Tenner, die künstlerische Leiterin und Initiatorin des Symposiums. Die vier Künstlerinnen werden zum Thema „trans|formation“ in der Stadttöpferei Neumünster arbeiten, Kunstinteressierte können ihnen dabei über die Schulter schauen. Vom 19. bis 30. September 2010 werden die entstandenen Arbeiten dann in der Stadttöpferei gezeigt, ab November im Landesmuseum Schloß Gottorf.

“Die eingereichten Arbeiten zeigten ein viel versprechend hohes Niveau und lassen mit Spannung die Ergebnisse erwarten”, schätzte Dr. Ulrich Schneider vom Landesmuseum Schloß Gottorf die Entscheidung der Jury ein.

Feierlich eröffnet wird das Symposium am Freitag, 3. September 2010, um 19 Uhr mit der traditionellen Kunstflecken-Eröffnung  „ArtTour“ im Theater in der Stadthalle Neumünster. Wer mehr über moderne Keramik erfahren möchte hat, ist außerdem eingeladen zu Vorträgen zweier renommierter Keramikkünstlerinnen: Reneé Reichenbach aus Halle a. d. Saale wird am 7. September 2010, Prof. Dr. Kerstin Abraham am 14. September 2010 einen Vortrag halten – jeweils um 19 Uhr, im Alten Rathaus der Stadt Neumünster (Eintritt frei).

Wissenschaftlich begleitet wird das Symposium von Studenten der Christian-Albrecht-Universität in Kiel. Ermöglicht wurde das Projekt durch die Unterstützung des Ministerium für Bildung und Kultur des Landes Schleswig-Holstein, der Stadt Neumünster, der Hermann und Karla Hinrichs Stiftung, der Helmut Rohde GmbH und der Firma Creaton. Es wird realisiert in Kooperation mit dem Landesmuseum Schloß Gottorf, der Muthesius Kunsthochschule und der Christian Albrechts Universität Kiel.

Participants of the International Ceramics Symposium Neumünster 2010 selected

The decision has been made. From 30th August to 19th September 2010 Orly Nezer from Israel, Wilma Bosland from Holland, Biljana Stojanovic Milenovic from Serbia  and Birgit Saupe from Germany will take part at the International Ceramics Symposium Neumünster 2010. The jury – Prof. Dr. Kerstin Abraham (Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel), Dr. Ulrich Schneider (Schleswig-Holstein’s state museum “Schloß Gottorf”), Sünne Höhn (Cultural Office of the City of Neumünster) and Danijela Pivašević-Tenner (Stipendiary of the Dr. Hans Hoch Foundation) – chosen from 29 applications from 14 countries.

The symposium as part of the culture festival “Kunstflecken” will be held for the first time and will reflect contemporary ceramic art in many facets. “The Stadttöpferei will evolve with it and also get more open,” says Danijela Pivasevic-Tenner, the artistic director and founder of the symposium. The four women artists will work on the theme “trans|formation” in the city of Neumünster pottery, while art lovers can look over their shoulder. From 19th to 30th september 2010, the results will be presented in the Stadttöpferei, from November in the Schleswig-Holstein’s state museum “Schloß Gottorf”. “The entries showed a promising high level and I waiting anxiously for the results,” estimated Dr. Ulrich Schneider the decision of a jury.

The launch ceremony of the the Symposium will be held on Friday, 3th September 2010, at 19 clock with the traditional opening of Kunstflecken “arttours” in the Theater in the town hall Neumünster. Who wants to learn more about modern ceramics, is also invited to lecture from two renowned ceramic artists: Renee Reichenbach from Halle / Saale on 7 September 2010 and Prof. Dr. Kerstin Abraham on 14th September 2010 will hold a speech – each at 19 o´clock in the Old City Hall Neumünster (admission free).

Scientifically, the symposium will be accompanied by students of the Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel. The project was made possible through the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Land Schleswig-Holstein, the city of Neumünster, and Karla Hermann Hinrichs Foundation, the Helmut Rohde GmbH and the company Creaton. It is realized in cooperation with the Schleswig-Holstein’s state museum “Schloß Gottorf”, the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design and the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel.
